Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess fat and allow to cool slightly.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage with softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cheddar cheese (if using). Stir until evenly combined into a creamy filling.

Unroll the crescent dough and separate into pre-cut triangles. Scoop a generous spoonful of the sausage filling onto the wide end of each triangle, then roll toward the point, securing the filling inside. Place on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until crescents are puffed up and golden brown. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. If desired, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for garnish. Serve warm.
